| The Specialized Institute for
Engineering Industries
has
been established by the republic of Iraq by its law no.
128/1972 and its modification no. 40/1977 with the
objective of serving the engineering industries in
improving their technological capabilities . |

institute started functioning from august 1973. |
| |
| * The
institute has , in April , 1978 , signed to technical
co-operation agreement with the united nations
development program (UNDP) and the united nations
industrial development organization (UNIDO) under which
the institute had been developed on modern lines with
international expertise and experience .

institute became a general company, managed by board of
directors has an independent budget and freedom of
decision making, according to the Iraqi companies’ law,
no.142 of 1998. The institute has the specialized
engineers and technicians . |
